Yes. Following the ruling of the German Federal Labour Court (1 ABR 22/21), the obligation applies to all employers regardless of company size. A reform of the Working Hours Act with electronic recording is being prepared; with Floowa you are ready for it today.
Time tracking checklist

No. Employees can clock in with their own account – or their manager records the time for them. You pay per active employee, with or without login.

Yes. Every employee, department or the whole company gets its region (including Austria and all Swiss cantons). Target hours, leave days and calendars automatically use the right public holidays, which are updated continuously three years ahead.

In a data centre in the EU, run by us, LBY IT from Thannhausen in Bavaria. Transfers are encrypted (TLS). Tax ID, social security number, IBAN, payslips and personnel documents such as sick notes are additionally stored encrypted, and so are the daily backups. You conclude the data processing agreement directly in Floowa; the technical and organisational measures (TOMs) and all subprocessors are available there as PDF.

Nothing surprising: the trial ends automatically and nothing is charged. To keep using Floowa, you book a paid plan. Without a plan your data stays readable for 90 days and is deleted afterwards – we remind you by email beforehand.

Yes, at any time and at no extra charge – depending on your plan: reports on working time, absences and staff as Excel and CSV file, the payroll report as PDF, CSV and DATEV LODAS file, project timesheets as PDF and, per employee, a complete data export (all details and documents as ZIP). The REST API also gives you machine-readable access to your data.

You keep working as usual until the end of the paid period. After that the data stays readable for 30 more days so you can export everything; then the company account is deleted with all data. Your administrators get an email 30 and 7 days beforehand. If you don't want to wait, you can delete everything yourself right away under Company › Privacy. Backups are overwritten after 30 days at the latest.

Yes. An Android tablet with the Floowa app (coming soon to Google Play) becomes the time clock at the entrance: employees clock in with an NFC chip or key fob, with the printed QR badge or with personnel number and PIN. If the internet goes down, the tablet stores the punches and sends them later. Floowa records no photos, no fingerprints and no location.

Yes. For your tax advisor there is the payroll report as PDF, Excel, CSV and as an import file for DATEV LODAS. Absences and shifts can be subscribed to as a calendar in Outlook, Google or Apple Calendar. With the documented REST API and signed webhooks you can also connect your ERP, payroll accounting or tools such as n8n, Make and Zapier.

Yes, monthly cancellation. With the annual plan you only pay 10 instead of 12 months. You can export your data at any time beforehand.
